Daniels advances to women’s final at the Canadian junior curling championships

STRATFORD, Ont. – British Columbia’s Sarah Daniels defeated New Brunswick’s Justine Comeau 7-3 on Saturday to advance to the final at the Canadian junior women’s curling championship.

Daniels scored a deuce in the seventh end and Comeau conceded after giving up a single in the ninth.

Daniels will play Nova Scotia’s Mary Fay in Sunday’s championship game at the Stratford Rotary Complex.

Later Sunday, Manitoba’s Matt Dunstone beat B.C.’s Tyler Tradi 8-3 in nine ends to advance to the men’s final.

Dunstone scored two points in the four end to take a 3-2 lead. His rink added a point in the fifth and the sixth round to run away with the match.

Dunstone will play Northern Ontario’s Tanner Horgan in the final on Sunday.
