Drunk driver hits several vehicles in downtown Kamloops

KAMLOOPS – An impaired driver who hit several parked vehicles and failed to remain at the scene is facing charges.

Police received a call at approximately 7:42 p.m. yesterday, Dec. 16, saying a truck hit several parked vehicles near the 100 block of Seymour Street, Sgt. Darren Michels says in a release.

After hitting the vehicles, the driver fled the area, Michels says.

Not long after the incident, police located him driving near the Halston Connector.

Michels says the 30-year-old man was arrested for impaired driving and failing to remain at the scene of an accident. He was released pending an upcoming court date.
