BRISTOL, Conn. – ESPN reporter Holly Rowe says she is undergoing surgery to remove a tumour.
Rowe had surgery in May to remove a tumour in her chest, and she said in a statement released by the network Tuesday that a new tumour had recently been found.
Rowe says she is having surgery Tuesday and “in the coming days, I will know more about what potential additional steps I may take to address this situation.”
She thanks colleague Shelley Smith for her guidance after Smith went through her own cancer treatments. Rowe adds: “I hope to be back at work soon doing what gives me so much joy in life.”
Rowe joined ESPN on a regular basis in 1998 and primarily covers college football, college basketball and softball.
