Up to opposition to make minority government work after throne speech: Wynne

TORONTO – Premier Kathleen Wynne says she’ll have something in next week’s throne speech for both opposition parties, but it’s up to them to decide if they want to work with her.

She says she’s talked with NDP Leader Andrea Horwath and Progressive Conservative Leader Tim Hudak about what they want to see from the government.

Wynne says she expects there will be “points of friction,” but Ontarians want the minority government to work.

She says she’ll do everything in her power to make that happen.

The New Democrats have given Wynne a list of things that they want from her, including a 15 per cent cut to auto insurance premiums.

The Tories have put out plenty of ideas, but haven’t given Wynne a shortlist, saying they want to see “fundamental change” from the Liberals.
