Kingsbury captures gold, Marquis nets bronze at World Cup freestyle competition

SOCHI, Russia – Mikael Kingsbury of Deux-Montagnes, Que., earned a gold medal Friday at a World Cup freestyle moguls event.

Phillipe Marquis of Quebec City captured a bronze medal in the competition behind American Patrick Dineen

The event is being held on the same course that will be used during next year’s Sochi Olympics.

Kingsbury leads the overall standings with 605 points.
