Snowfall warning for parts of the southern B.C. Interior

THOMPSON-OKANAGAN – Heavy snow falling across the southern Interior today has prompted Environment Canada to issue a heavy snowfall warning.

Forecasters say a frontal system over the southern Interior will drop between 10 to 15 centimetres of snow in the North Okanagan, Shuswap and South Thompson before it tapers to furries this evening.

Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations, the warning states. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
