KELOWNA, B.C. – Cole Cheveldave made 17 stops as the Kamloops Blazers downed the host Kelowna Rockets 3-1 on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.
Brendan Ranford had a goal and an assist for the Blazers (40-15-5), who extended their win streak to seven games, while Joel Edmundson and Marek Hrbas scored the others.
Myles Bell scored for the Rockets (42-15-4), who have lost five of their past seven games, including a 4-2 decision to Kamloops on Friday.
Jordon Cooke stopped 25 shots in a losing cause.
Kamloops went 0 for 3 on the power play while Kelowna failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.
