Snowfall warning issued on Trans Canada between Revelstoke and Golden

KAMLOOPS – Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Trans Canada Highway from Revelstoke to Golden.

Forecasters say up to 25 centimetres of snow is expected to fall overnight, Dec. 28, and into tomorrow morning on Highway 1 from the Eagle Pass, just west of Revelstoke, to Rogers Pass in Glacier National Park.

A Pacific frontal system is to blame for the snow over the Columbia regions.

"Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow," the warning states. "Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions."
