First Loss: Jones hands defending champ Nedohin first loss at Scotties

KINGSTON, Ont. – Defending champion Heather Nedohin has her first loss at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

She dropped an 8-5 decision to Manitoba’s Jennifer Jones in round-robin action at the K-Rock Centre.

Jones improved to 7-0 with the win while Nedohin fell to 6-1.

Jones is tied in first place with Ontario’s Rachel Homan, who defeated Saskatchewan’s Jill Shumay 8-2.

Round-robin play continues through Friday.

The playoff games are set for this weekend.
