B.C. Lions re-sign kick-returner Chris Rainey to two-year contract

VANCOUVER – The B.C. Lions signed free-agent defensive back Mike Edem to a two-year contract Tuesday.

The six-foot-one, 210-pound Edem split last season between the Montreal Alouettes and Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Montreal selected Edem third overall in the 2013 CFL draft out of Calgary. He was an East Division all-star as a rookie but was dealt to Hamilton last October.

B.C. also re-signed kick-returner Chris Rainey to a two-year contract. Rainey joined the Lions midway through last season.
