Former manager Farrell returns to Blue Jays camp, this time as Boston manager
DUNEDIN, Fla. – John Farrell is back at the Toronto Blue Jays camp, this time wearing the uniform of the Boston Red Sox.
Former Toronto third base coach Brian Butterfield, now doing the same job in Boston, also made the trip back with Farrell and a Boston split-squad Monday.
Farrell spent the last two seasons at Toronto’s helm, calling them “great years.”
He was eventually traded in October to Boston, where he spent four years as pitching coach, after expressing his desire to manage there.
Butterfield and Toronto manager John Gibbons reminisced before the game.
