
Lopes-Schliep pregnant with second child; has sights set on 2016 Rio Games
WHITBY, Ont. – Priscilla Lopes-Schliep rebounded from pregnancy to run Canada’s fastest time in the 100-metre hurdles last season.
Now she hopes to do it again.
The Olympic bronze medallist and her husband Bronsen Schliep are expecting their second child in August.
They decided to expand their family now after Lopes-Schliep suffered a health scare.
But the 30-year-old says she has no intention of retiring.
The former world No. 1-ranked hurdler says she has her sights set on the 2016 Olympic podium.
