Kelowna – An investigation is underway into the cause of a basement fire in Ellison Wednesday night.
Platoon captain Eric Simpson says crews were called to a house on Old Vernon Road at around 9:20 p.m. and found the lone resident waiting outside.
Although the fire was contained to the basement, Simpson says there is heavy smoke damage throughout.
The cause of the fire is yet unknown however investigators are currently on scene.
There were no pets inside and no one was injured.
