PENTICTON – Restaurant patrons in a well known downtown Penticton restaurant had their meals interrupted for a short period this evening.
Penticton firefighters were called to Theo’s Restaurant at 687 Main Street around 6:30 p.m., Jan. 12, to calls of a chimney fire.
Patrons were still in the restaurant when fire crews arrived. They were able to extinguish the blaze, which they were able to contain to the chimney flue.
Fire Captain Ray Simpson said the fire had the potential to spread.
Two engines attended the scene.
