TORONTO – Philadelphia Flyers captain Claude Giroux will not play Saturday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs due to an upper-body injury.
Giroux is considered day-to-day, according to a statement from Flyers general manager Ron Hextall.
It’s the first time this season that the 28-year-old from Hearst, Ont., has missed a game.
Over the last three seasons, Giroux has played in 211 of 212 regular-season games.
Giroux leads the Flyers with 49 points (16 goals, 33 assists) this season.
