VIDEO: Skiers driven up Silver Star Mountain in car commercial

VERNON – The Okanagan is quickly becoming a hot spot for filming locations. Following several Hollywood films shot in the Okanagan this year, a Kia commercial was recently filmed at Silver Star Mountain Resort.

Waiting in line for a chairlift is a drag, so skiers in the commercial avoid it by catching a ride in a Kia. The video says it features a stunt driver on a closed course with real Canadian passengers.

Silver Star's Creekside and Silver Queen slopes starred in the short, despite Kia's introduction that claims to have tested the car in the Rocky Mountains.

Crews shot the commercial last December.
