Rankin has two goals as Tri-City Americans win 6-3 over Prince George Cougars

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. – Connor Rankin had two goals as the Tri-City Americans won 6-3 over the Prince George Cougars on Monday in the Western Hockey League.

Mitch Topping, Beau McCue, Lucas Nickles and Justin Feser had the other goals for the Americans (39-23-3), who moved back into fourth place in the Western Conference.

Jari Erricson, Brett Roulston and Marc McNulty for the Cougars (18-38-8), who have lost five straight games and are eight points out of a playoff spot with eight games remaining, including six on the road.

Troy Trombley finished with 34 saves for Tri-City.
