KELOWNA – A pedestrian in her mid-70s was taken to hospital with serious injuries after she was hit by a vehicle last Tuesday.
While her injuries are serious, they are considered non life-threatening, Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey says in a release.
She was struck at the intersection of Baron Road and Underhill Street on Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 11:28 a.m.
O’Donaghey says a black GMC Tracker, that was heading westbound on Baron Road, hit her as she was in the crosswalk.
The driver is a man in his late 50s. O’Donaghey say he cooperated fully with the investigation and has been charged under the Motor Vehicle Act.
