Canadian linebacker Kevin Eiben announces retirement after 12-year CFL career

HAMILTON – Canadian linebacker Kevin Eiben is retiring after a 12-year CFL career.

He spent 11 years with the Toronto Argonauts before spending last season with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Eiben was recognized as an East Division all-star five times and a C-F-L all-star on three occasions.

The Delta, B.C., native recorded 722 defensive tackles over his career, the second-highest total by a Canadian player in CFL history.

He also posted 92 special-teams tackles, 10 interceptions and 15 sacks over his career.

Eiben won a Grey Cup with the Argos in 2004.
