Blues’ forward Reaves receives three-game suspension for boarding incident

NEW YORK, – Forward Ryan Reaves of the St. Louis Blues was suspended Wednesday for three games without pay by the NHL for a boarding incident.

Reaves hit defenceman Matt Tennyson of the San Jose Sharks during a game Monday night. He received a major penalty for boarding and game misconduct.

Reaves will forfeit US$18,145.17 in salary, which will go to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
