PENTICTON – The past weekend was a special one for Penticton Beavers.
Spokesperson Don Wrigglesworth says a group of Penticton Beavers took part in a snowshoe adventure at Apex Mountain Resort on the weekend.
Beavers, leaders and parents participated in the activities, which took place under sunny skies but cold temperatures, he says.
Wrigglesworth says that didn’t stop the group from “enduring a fierce trek through 'treacherous terrain' to reach the reward of hot chocolate and a warm fire.”
The Second Penticton Cubs, Scouts and Venturers also took part in a day of tubing, skating and other winter activities at Apex.
