NHL Player’s Association says it has agreed to realignment, board still has to OK

TORONTO – It looks like the NHL is getting a new look.

The NHL Players’ Association says it has agreed to realignment, to be re-evaluated following the 2014-15 season.

The league has not revealed the plan but it is widely believed to have two conferences, each with two divisions.

Detroit shifts to the East and Winnipeg moves to the West.

The proposal will have to be approved by the NHL board of governors.
