Kelowna woman competing against 11 Americans in online web reality game show

KELOWNA – A local woman is confirmed as a contestant on the third season of a voyeuristic game show that also features reality TV stars from other shows.

Kelowna's Kelly Spencer, 30, is listed as one of a dozen people who will compete against each other on a web-only game show that plays out live every night between Feb. 3 and Feb. 11.

Sequester is described on its website as a “online reality game show like never experienced before.”

Viewers are able to have direct impact on the outcome of the game by voting on final cast, twists, competitions, prizes and punishments. Similar to Big Brother, Sequester was founded by a former contestant and stars another former contestant, Michelle "Meech" Meyer.

Spencer, who works in the wine industry, says on her bio she has been interested in reality TV ever since Survivor first aired.

“I used to be a mechanic, and even managed a repair shop, but found the career to be physically difficult on the body and mentally difficult being challenged as a woman in the industry,” she writes. “With that difficult experience under my belt I am pursuing a career in wine (selling and currently learning to make the stuff!) while also nourishing my creative side selling my paintings. I love a good challenge, never give up, and always do my best which leaves me with no regrets in life.”

Spencer is the only non-American contestant on the show.
