VERNON – City crews are currently responding to a road failure on Okanagan Avenue west of Fulton Road near Elephant Storage.

The failure is currently being assessed by geotechnical engineers and is likely a result of a frost heaving due to milder temperatures.

This area of Okanagan Avenue has been reduced to single-lane alternating traffic until the issue can be addressed.

Motorists are advised to avoid this area if possible.

If access to this area is required, please slow down and obey all posted signage.
