Goldcorp Inc. (TSX:G). Miner. Down $2.81, or 13.05 per cent, to $18.73 on 15.5 million shares. Goldcorp slashed its dividend by two-thirds after reporting a US$4.3-billion net loss in the fourth quarter. The Vancouver-based miner booked a US$3.9-billion impairment in the quarter, largely due to 15 per cent downward revision of its long-term gold price outlook to US$1,100 an ounce.

Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Aerospace, rail equipment. Down two cents, or 1.85 per cent, to $1.06 on 14.4 million shares. A move by Republic Airways to file for bankruptcy protection has cast into doubt the U.S.-based airline’s firm order for 40 of Bombardier’s new CSeries jetliners, along with a conditional order for 40 others.

Magna, which reports in U.S. dollars, reported full-year sales for 2015 were US$32.1 billion, down from $34.4 billion in 2014. The Canadian autoparts giant blamed the impact of foreign currency translations for shaving US$3.35 billion from revenue.
