Canopy Growth Corp. (TSX:CGC). Drug manufacturer. Down $2.05, or 15.24 per cent, to $11.40 on 24.3 million shares.

Manulife Financial Corp. (TSX:MFC). Financial Services. Down 19 cents, or 0.82 per cent, to $22.87 on 8.2 million shares.

Encana Corp. (TSX:ECA). Oil and gas. Up 14 cents, or 0.94 per cent, to $15.11 on 6.9 million shares.

Yamana Gold Inc. (TSX:YRI). Miner. Up one cent, or 0.24 per cent, to $4.24 on 6.6 million shares.

Northern Dynasty Minerals Ltd. (TSX:NDM). Miner. Up nine cents, or 5.42 per cent, to $1.75 on 6.3 million shares.

B2Gold Corp. (TSX:BTO). Miner. Down eight cents, or 2.33 per cent, to $3.35 on 5.9 million shares.

Companies reporting major news:

Loblaw Companies Ltd. (TSX:L). Grocer. Up $2.11, or 3.26 per cent, to $66.91 on 1.9 million shares. Loblaw Companies Ltd. reported an increase in its third-quarter profit compared with a year ago, helped by improved sales and lower restructuring charges. The corporate parent of the Loblaws grocery chain and Shoppers Drug Mart says it earned $419 million attributable to common shareholders or $1.03 per diluted share in the quarter.

Metro Inc. (TSX:MRU). Grocer. Up 96 cents, or 2.36 per cent, to $41.71 on 1.2 million shares. Metro Inc. reported a 10 per cent increase in its fourth-quarter profit compared with a year ago. The Montreal-based company says it earned $145.0 million or 60 cents per diluted share for the 12 weeks ended Sept. 24.
