AP source: Rene Bourque among 8 NHLers placed on waivers

A person with direct knowledge of the moves tells The Associated Press that Columbus forward Rene Bourque and Vancouver’s Adam Cracknell are among eight players placed on waivers.

The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the teams haven’t announced the moves made Sunday.

Bourque is an 11-year veteran who has three goals and six points in 42 games with Columbus this season. Cracknell had five goals and 10 points in 43 games with Vancouver.

Goalie Alex Stalock was placed on waivers by Toronto a day after being acquired in a trade with San Jose.

Also placed on waivers were Boston forward Zac Rinaldo, Colorado goalie Reto Berra, Pittsburgh defenceman David Warsofsky, Winnipeg defenceman Adam Pardy and San Jose forward Mike Brown.

Washington’s Brooks Laich, Boston’s Max Talbot and Minnesota’s Chris Porter went unclaimed a day after being placed on waivers.
