Kamloops Library Hosts Award-winning Author

KAMLOOPS – The Kamloops Library is hosting the award-winning author Kim Fu on Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 7 p.m., for a reading and discussion of both her poetry and prose.

Fu is a Canadian-born writer living in Seattle. Her novel For Today I Am a Boy tells the story of an immigrant family with a transgender child. It is a story of strife, growth and transcendence. Her book of poetry How Festive the Ambulance is one of CBC’s 15 Must-Read Poetry Collections featuring startling imagery, mystical creatures and vignettes from home life.

This reading is sponsored by the Canada Council for the Arts. Readers and writers are invited to join us in welcoming this author. This event is free but space is limited so please contact the library to reserve a seat.
