
Raptors’ Kyle Lowry named Eastern Conference’s player of the week
TORONTO – Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry was named the Eastern Conference’s player of the week Monday.
Lowry led the conference in scoring (28.8 points per game) while shooting 28-for-47 (.596) from the field in Toronto’s three games. He finished 7-for-17 (.412) from three-point range and also was ranked second in the East in assists (8.7).
Lowry had a career-high 43 points in Toronto’s 99-97 home win over Cleveland on Friday night, scoring the game-winning basket with 3.9 seconds remaining.
Toronto is home to the Utah Jazz on Wednesday.
