Three women shot at Brampton strip club; two in critical condition

BRAMPTON, Ont. – Police say three women shot early Wednesday at a strip club in Brampton, Ont., were patrons, not employees.

Peel Region Police Const. George Tudos says the women were among more than 200 people at a dance party held at a club just west of Toronto called The Office.

He says two of the women are in critical but stable condition, while the third suffered non-life-threatening injuries and should be released from hospital later Wednesday.

The women’s names and ages have not been released.

Tudos says investigators are talking to witnesses and will go over any available surveillance video to find out what led to the shooting around 1:30 a.m.

He says police believe there was one shooter but are open to the possibility that another suspect was involved, though they have yet to determine a motive.

It will take time to sort through the accounts coming from the crowd, he said.

“Investigators are obviously taking their time because you’re going to get conflicting stories, they’re probably not finished siphoning through the witnesses and the evidence,” he said.
