AHL’s Timmins allegedly intoxicated, charged with trespassing at San Antonio home

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Rampage centre Scott Timmins has been charged with trespassing after allegedly getting drunk and breaking into a house several blocks from his home.

Officials with the AHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers didn’t immediately comment Wednesday on the 23-year-old player’s status.

A woman called police early Monday to report a stranger on her couch. She and her three children fled through a back door. Officers say Timmins appeared intoxicated and told them he didn’t know how he got into the house.

He was charged with criminal trespass and freed after posting $800 bail. No attorney could immediately be located for Timmins, who was selected by the Panthers in the sixth round of the 2009 NHL entry draft.
