Sleeping driver escapes crash unharmed
Police are currently at the scene of an accident at 500 Elliot Avenue, near Pandosy Street.
The driver of a white Mazda 3 told InfoTel news that he nodded off at the wheel as he was traveling north on Pandosy and veered offroad at the Elliot intersection.
Witnesses say he was lucky to find himself unharmed because there was no traffic at the time and the car had to miss at least two smaller trees before coming to rest with the passenger side door leaning against a larger tree.
The driver says he's ok but he feels a little embarrassed.
