MONTREAL – Here’s a by-the-numbers look at the Canadian fur trade:

300: Canadian fur farms (approximate). Mink is most popular farmed fur, followed by fox and chinchilla.

3.4 million: Farmed mink pelts produced in 2014, valued at $168 million (Source: Statistics Canada)
