Looking for a forever home, Penticton SPCA Pet of the Week
Oni
This high energy senior is not slowing down any time soon!
Oni, a 9-year-old neutered brindle Boxer cross, came into the Penticton SPCA because his previous owners could no longer give him the exercise and attention he needs.
Upon meeting Oni, you wouldn't guess he is almost 9 years young. He still has a large amount of energy and is looking for an active owner who will have a lot of time for walks and hikes.
Oni has a bit of separation anxiety and would do best with owners who are home fairly often. He also needs a home with a securely fenced backyard as he is a creative escape artist with the ability to clear a 6 foot fence, so he cannot be outside unsupervised. Even jumping around the kennels he looks like he has springs in his legs.
He does have most of his basic obedience such as sit, lay down, stay and heel, however he still pulls when walking on leash so needs some further training in that area.
Oni will need slow calm introductions when meeting any new dogs.
This beautiful gentleman has been in the shelter since March and he deserves a forever, retirement home.
If Oni sounds like a senior you would love to give a great home to, contact the Penticton SPCA.
