Dhane Smith scores five, Daryl Veltman adds three as lead Bandits beat Stealth

LANGLEY, B.C. – Dhane Smith scored five goals and Daryl Veltman added a hat trick as the Buffalo Bandits beat the Vancouver Stealth 13-8 on Saturday night in National Lacrosse League action.

Mitch Wilde, Ryan Benesch, David Brock, Mitch de Snoo and Kevin Brownell supplied the rest of the offence for Buffalo (6-4).

Jordan Durston had a hat trick for the Stealth (3-6), who got another two goals from Corey Small. Garrett Billings, Logan Schuss and Joel McCready rounded out the attack.

Anthony Cosmo turned away 42 shots for the win in net. Tyler Richards took the loss after kicking out 33-of-41 shots in 55:47. Eric Penney turned aside 3-of-7 shots in 4:08 in the first quarter for Vancouver.

The Bandits scored once on two power plays while the Stealth were 2 for 6.
