
Canadian skip Homan edges Russia 5-4 at world women’s curling championship
RIGA, Latvia – Canada’s winning streak is up to three games at the world women’s curling championship.
Rachel Homan guided her rink to a 5-4 victory over Russia’s Anna Sidorova in early action today at the Volvo Sports Center.
Homan improved her record to 3-1 after six draws of play.
The Ottawa Curling Club team is making its first appearance at the event.
Homan will meet Erika Brown of the United States in the evening.
Round-robin play continues through Thursday night and the medal games are scheduled for Sunday.
