Cops arrest man with stolen car, seize meth and heroin
SALMON ARM – A Blind Bay man is facing several charges after police arrested him last week in possession of a stolen car with drugs on hand.
Staff Sgt. Scott West says in a release that the 39-year-old man is known to police and an officer spotted him at a gas station on Feb. 2.
The man already had warrants out for his arrest when he was taken into custody.
According to West, he was in possession of a 2004 Acura, stolen from the Fintry area on the westside of Okanagan Lake.
The man also had methamphetamines and heroin on him at the time of the arrest.
He's been released from custody and will appear in court this month. The man is charged with possession of a stolen car, breaching release conditions and possession of a controlled substance.
