KELOWNA – The man police have been searching for in Okanagan Lake is dead.
The family has been notified and the investigation is now under the care of the coroner.

KELOWNA – A possible drowning only 100 feet from shore near Watt Road is under investigation today.
RCMP recieved a report a man was missing from Okanagan Lake Aug. 18, at about 6:50 p.m. Mounties say the man, 24, and his girlfriend who are both from Surrey were holidaying in Kelowna. The man was apparently having trouble staying afloat while swimming out to his boat before he disappeared under the water.
The man was not found in spite of efforts by Kelowna Fire Boat and Vernon Search and Rescue. The search continues today.
