Quebecor cuts Q4 loss by 55%, revenue up in all business segments

MONTREAL – Quebecor Inc. says its 2015 fourth-quarter loss was cut by more than half and revenue was up seven per cent compared with 2014.

Its loss for the three months dropped to $22.5 million or 28 cents per share (TSX:QBR.B).

In 2014, the telecom and media company’s fourth-quarter net loss was $50.3 million or 48 cents per share.

Revenue was $1.02 billion in last year’s fourth quarter, including $777.1 million from telecommunications.

In the comparable quarter of 2014, revenue was $953.7 million including $733.2 million from telecommunications.

For the full year, Quebecor had a profit of $180.1 million in 2015 with $3.88 billion of revenue compared with a 2014 loss of $24.4 million with $3.61 billion of revenue.
