Canada’s Homan beats China to improve playoff chances at women’s curling worlds

RIGA, Latvia – Canada’s Rachel Homan is guaranteed at least a tiebreaker appearance at the world women’s curling championship.

She beat China’s Bingyu Wang 7-4 today at the Volvo Sports Center.

Homan improves to 7-3 with the victory.

She will close out her round-robin schedule in the afternoon against Japan’s Satsuki Fujisawa.

Canada can clinch a playoff berth with a victory over Japan.

Scotland and Sweden have already locked up two of the four playoff spots.
