Thieves leave damage and take cash from Kelowna diner

KELOWNA – Police are looking for answers as they investigate a weekend break-in at the MTL montREALfood diner.

Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey says in a media release that officers responded to a break and enter at a diner in the 1800 block of Kirschner Road the morning of Saturday, Feb. 11.

An unknown suspect or suspects broke into the MTL montREALfood diner some time before police responded at 7:01 a.m.

O’Donaghey says police found damage throughout the inside of the business and say the suspect or suspects made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The investigation is ongoing and officers have seized evidence for forensic examination.
