
Canadian skip Rachel Homan wins bronze at world women’s curling championship
RIGA, Latvia – Canada’s Rachel Homan is the winner of the bronze medal at the world women’s curling championship.
She defeated Erika Brown of the United States 8-6 in today’s third-place game at the Volvo Sports Center.
Homan scored three points in the third end and never trailed the rest of the way.
The Ottawa skip was coming off an 8-7 loss to Scotland in the semifinal.
This is Homan’s first appearance at this tournament.
Scotland will play Sweden for the gold medal later in the day.
