Police investigating suspicious death after car crash in Surrey, B.C.

SURREY, B.C. – A car crash in Surrey, B.C., has turned into a suspicious death investigation.

Police say a car struck a tree Friday evening, and officers found a man suffering injuries that were not consistent with the crash.

The man was rushed to hospital, but died from his injuries.

The victim’s age and name have not been released.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has taken over the case.

Investigators say the man’s death is suspicious and they believe the victim was targeted.
