Man arrested after domestic disturbance on Kelowna Greenway

KELOWNA – A man was arrested in Kelowna over the weekend after he took a small child from its mother during an argument on the Mission Creek Greenway.

Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey says RCMP were called to a domestic disturbance on the trail near the 4000 block of Gordon Drive just after noon Saturday, Feb. 11.

“The man had left the immediate area on foot carrying their small child,” he says in a media release. “Police located the man, who was taken into police custody without incident.”

The child was not harmed and reunited with its mother.

O’Donaghey says the man was held in police custody but did not say what charges he faces.
