KAMLOOPS – Kamloops RCMP are investigating a double stabbing over the weekend as a domestic assault.
Police were called to the 400 block of Columbia Street around 5 a.m. on Saturday after reports that two people had been stabbed.
"It appears to be domestic," said Kamloops RCMP Const. Bernie Ward of the adult man and woman involved in the altercation.
Ward said the two have since been released from Royal Inland Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. They are advising the public the attack was not random and of no risk to the public.
The investigation into the matter is ongoing by police, with charges to potentially follow.
