Jays pitcher Marcus Stroman joins teammate Josh Donaldson on video game cover
TORONTO – Add video game cover athlete to Marcus Stroman’s resume.
The Toronto Blue Jays pitcher will be on the Canadian cover of “R.B.I. Baseball 16,” due out later this month for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC/MAC and mobile devices.
“Honored,” tweeted the 24-year-old right-hander.
The game is available for digital download March 29 and in retail stores April 5.
Outfielder Mookie Betts of the Boston Red Sox is on the American cover.
Originally developed for the Nintendo system in 1986, “R.B.I. Baseball” was revived in 2014.
Stroman will be sharing space with Jays teammate Josh Donaldson in video game stores. The Toronto third baseman is the cover athlete for Sony’s “MLB: The Show 16,” out March 29 for PlayStation 3 and 4.
