More charges for suspect in Kaleden police chase
PENTICTON – A woman believed to be the subject of a police chase in Kaleden on Valentine’s Day made a second appearance in a Penticton court room today.
Amanda Sach appeared via video link from Okanagan Correction Centre this afternoon, Feb. 17 for a bail hearing.
Then the next day, officers were also seen searching Pineview Drive for evidence.
Sach originally faced a charge of dangerous driving in the incident, but new charges were added today, including a second count of dangerous driving, flight from a police officer and possession of a controlled substance.
Defence lawyer Kathyrn Lundman asked the judge for an adjournment, saying she had yet to receive disclosure from Crown and was not yet seeking bail in the matter.
Judge Sinclair adjourned the hearing until Feb. 28, where it is expected to go before a judicial case manager.
Sach, who is well known to police, was arrested following her involvement in a home invasion in Penticton on Nov. 30, 2013.
RCMP have not released any details about the incident.
