WolfPack men’s basketball even Canada West play in series with Bobcats

BRANDON — The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack have forced a third and deciding game of their Canada West men’s basketball play in series.  Saturday (Feb 18) at the Healthy Living Centre in Brandon, the Pack beat the host Bobcats  96-64.  Game three will be played Sunday night (Feb 18)

SYNOPSIS:

The WolfPack led 43-32 at the half.  They were led offensively by Derek Rhodes (3rd year, guard, Antioch, CA) with 21 points. Rhodes had 11 points at the half.  Volodymyr Iegorov (5th year, forward, Donetsk, Ukraine) added 20 points with 15 coming in the first two quarters.
At one point, the WolfPack led by 30 points.
Brandon’s top sniper was Earl Thompson Junior with 13 points. Pookie Saunders added 10.

The Bobcats and WolfPack will play a winner take all game three Sunday night (Feb 19).  Tipoff is 7 pm MDT. You can see the game on a pay per view basis by logging onto  WWW.CanadawestTV.  The winner of this series will meet the number one ranked Calgary Dinos in a best of three quarter final series next week (Feb 23-26). That series will be played in Calgary.
