KAMLOOPS – Police in Kamloops say an extensive investigation has wrapped up after they arrested an alleged bank robber.

Kamloops RCMP Sgt. Darren Michels says in a news release that police have identified, located and arrested a 52-year-old Kamloops man who's charged with one count of robbery at the downtown TD Canada Trust Bank.

According to court documents, Roger Jerry Decoine is in custody and set to appear in Kamloops Provincial Court today, Feb. 20.

Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie said in a media release on Feb. 17, that a man robbed the bank on Victoria Street. The suspect left on foot, heading up 3 Avenue toward Royal Inland Hospital.

Shelkie says officers originally weren't able to locate the suspect.

The suspect insinuated he had a weapon but never showed one, Shelkie said. No one was injured during the robbery.
