Ministry of Justice warns public about high-risk sex offender in B.C.

SURREY, B.C. – The B.C. Ministry of Justice is warning the public about a high-risk sex offender who plans to live in Surrey, B.C.

The ministry says Jeffrey Goddard’s criminal history includes sexual offences against both boys and girls, and he has lured children over the Internet.

The ministry public notification says Goddard has also been convicted of pretending to be a police officer and breach of recognizance.

Now aged 23, Goddard is Caucasian, stands 5-9, weighs 150 pounds and has brown hair and green eyes.

The ministry says Goddard is not allowed to communicate directly or indirectly with anyone under 16 or establish or maintain any social networking sites.

He’s also not allowed to attend parks, schools, daycares and other areas where children might gather,or posses electronic devices that can access the Internet.
